  • Do I need an appointment?
    • For alterations , yes, Saturday shopping yes, Weekday shopping no.
  • Can I get my gown preserved after my wedding?
    • Yes Weddings By Tess can do it at an additional cost
  • Is money due up front?
    • Yes, 100 % payment is due at the time of order placement.
  • Can you alter my gown after it arrives?
    • Yes, we have experienced seamstresses on staff to help you with these needs.
  • When will my gown arrive after we order?
    • Depending on the manufacturer, dresses take an average of 10-16 weeks for delivery. There are some instances in which you may order from an in stock program and they can be received as early as 2 weeks.
  • How far ahead should I order my gown?
    • General ordering timelines are as follows (prior to wedding date): Wedding gowns 6-9 months Bridesmaids, Flower girls, & Mothers attire 4-6 months Shoes, jewelry, accessories & keepsakes 1-2 weeks.
  • What if my bridesmaids live out of state?
    • Your bridesmaids can go to any seamstress in their area and have themselves measured, we will order from those measurements. We however still can not offer any returns or refunds due to the specialty type of business.
  • Can I get my measurements done here with out buying anything?
    • Yes, we will measure anyone for tux or dress for a fee of $10.00, plus tax. This fee is returned to you on your first alterations ticket, when you bring your dress to Weddings By Tess for alterations.
